Animals and plants come in all kinds of colors, but why the variety? Learn all about the different ways that living things use color and see how well you can spot all the different colors with a game of bingo while going on a hike! Closed-toe shoes are recommended and bring your water bottle!

About National Trails Day
On the first Saturday of June, Virginia State Parks celebrates National Trails Day®, an annual event sponsored by the American Hiking Society encouraging outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to explore hiking, biking and equestrian trails. Virginia’s 44 state parks offer guided hikes, trail maintenance workshops and volunteer opportunities to highlight trail stewardship and the importance of preserving trails for future generations.
