Program Location: Interpretive Center
Main Park Address: Sweet Run State Park, 11661 Harpers Ferry Road, Hillsboro, VA 20132.
When
April 22, 2026. 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
This program introduces young participants to the wonders of the natural world while encouraging an appreciation for the environment. All ages are welcome, though activities are designed especially for children ages 3–8. Parents or guardians must remain with their young naturalists throughout the program. Together, explore how people’s relationship with the park has shifted over time - from relying on natural resources for survival to becoming stewards of the land. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for hiking. Meet first at the Interpretive Center for hands-on activities before heading out on the trail. Program activities are weather and trail dependent and may be modified based on conditions.
