We are looking for eager volunteers to help us repair our trails! Our park features six miles of scenic trails that wind through our forests to ponds, overlooks, wetlands and beaches. Trails are meant to be used, and end up getting worn down over time. Please join us in repairing our trails that are getting worn down!

We will meet at the CCC fountain along State Park Road at 9am. Please bring sturdy, close toed shoes, work clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, a water bottle and a hardworking attitude.

About National Trails Day

On the first Saturday of June, Virginia State Parks celebrates National Trails Day, an annual event encouraging outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to explore hiking, biking and equestrian trails. Virginia’s 44 state parks offer guided hikes, trail maintenance workshops and volunteer opportunities to highlight trail stewardship and the importance of preserving trails for future generations.
