Habitat Hunt

Where
Program Location: Boat Ramp off of Mitchell Valley Road
Main Park Address: Hungry Mother State Park, 2854 Park Blvd., Marion, VA 24354.
When
Sept. 12, 2026. 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Hungry Mother is made up of many micro-ecosystems. Let’s explore some of these areas and figure out how they differ, what might live there and how these "mini-biomes" benefit our environment as a whole. We will discuss various hot-topic issues of today and see if we can come up with some solutions. We will also pick up a little trash while we are solving the world’s problems. This program is open to everyone, not just Girl Scouts. If you are a Girl Scout, and you do all activities, you can receive the Eco Badge that coordinates with your grade level.
