Creation Station at Kids Love Parks Fair

Step into the Creation Station and let your imagination take the lead! Here, young artists can choose from a variety of nature-inspired crafts—like animal masks, opossum puppets, butterflies, turkeys, or even a batteau craft. Each activity is designed for hands-on fun, and as you create, you’ll also discover cool facts about the animal or theme you’re working on.

Whether you love cutting and coloring or simply exploring something new, the Creation Station is the perfect place to make a keepsake to remember your day at the Kids Love Parks Fair. Come create, learn, and take home a little piece of the park!

Please meet at the Amphitheatre. All materials provided. Suitable for all ages. Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the weather and bring a water bottle with you. Parks are for everyone, please let us know if you need special accommodation.

About National Kids to Parks Day

Virginia State Parks celebrates National Kids to Parks Day on the third Saturday in May by offering a variety of fun, family-friendly activities, from nature scavenger hunts and ranger-led hikes to fishing clinics and flora and fauna wagon rides. This annual event encourages kids to explore the outdoors while learning about wildlife and engaging in hands-on environmental education.
