Step into the hidden world of nocturnal insects as Fairy Stone State Park comes alive after dark. Join a Virginia Master Naturalist for an immersive, hands-on exploration of the park’s nighttime biodiversity. Using specialized light traps and collection techniques, we’ll observe moths, beetles, and other fascinating creatures that often go unnoticed during the day.
Whether you’re a seasoned nature enthusiast or simply curious about what flutters and crawls in the dark, this guided survey invites you to experience the forest in a whole new way. All ages are welcome, and no prior experience is needed.
