Meet a Turtle on World Turtle Day!

How well do you know the park's ambassador animal, James the mud turtle? This tiny rescued turtle's aquatic home is located at the Park Office. You'll learn all about the small yet mighty mud turtle, examine turtle shells of all sizes, inspect a turtle skeleton, and even watch as James eats his favorite meal: a wiggling earthworm! All ages are invited, even those that may be familiar with turtles are bound to learn something new about these fascinating ancient animals.
While registration is not required for this program, it is recommended. If you register, we will be able to contact you if the program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
