Want to experience the New River Trail State Park in a way few people get a chance to? Join us for a van tour. The ride will run from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.
This South End tour meets at the Cliffview Access Parking Area and then heads towards Gambetta, Byllesby Dam, Buck Dam, Ivanhoe, Austinville, and Foster Falls, before returning to Cliffview. The tour follows the trail that was once the rail line of the Norfolk and Western railroad. There will be stops along the way for restroom use and lunch. Lunch will not be provided; plan to pack all of your food, drink, and dietary needs.
Pre-registration is required since seating is limited to 12. Pets are not allowed on the tour. The program fee is $15 per participant, call 276-699-6778 to register.
This program is entirely weather dependent. If the trail conditions aren't favorable, then the rides will be cancelled and you will be notified.
