Explore the shoreline of the Potomac by kayak! Enjoy a daytime paddle on the lower Potomac River as we look and listen for bald eagles. We'll search the skies for these magnificent raptors as they soar and perch over the marsh.
Paddlers must be age 16+ for a solo kayak and age 8+ (with an adult) for tandem kayak. Wear clothes that can get wet and close-toed shoes. Meet at the visitor center to collect paddles and gear before riding down to the shore with the boats. Be prepared to help load and unload the kayaks at the beach before and after the paddle. Paid reservations are required as space is limited. Please call 540-663-3861 or stop by the visitor center to reserve your spot. Parking fee is $5.
