April 21, 2021. 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Journey on an open air tram to the heart of False Cape State Park to observe the Lyrid Meteor Shower. Learn how to identify constellations and other bright objects in the night sky. We will stay at one location for our night sky observation, so bring something to sit or lay on and a flashlight. In the event of cloudy skies we may opt for a night hike instead.

Cost: $10 per person. Space may be limited based on current COVID-19 guidance. Reservations are required. To make a reservation please call the park at (757) 426-7128.

To keep participants and staff safe, the following protocols are in place: All participants must wear a face covering while riding the tram. Participants must pre-pay for the program. Park staff will call each person before the program to collect a credit card payment over the phone. Participants may not attend if they have any of the following symptoms: cough, fever, shortness of breath, new loss of smell or taste.
