Westmoreland State Park presents “Halloweekend” on Oct. 26-27
Experience fall at the park and enjoy Halloween-themed events

MONTROSS, Va. – Experience a weekend full of Halloween-themed events at Westmoreland State Park’s “Halloweekend” event on Oct. 26 from noon until 4 p.m. and Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Discovery Center area.
“Guests can join in the fun by dressing up, carving pumpkins or participating in one of the programs,” said Chief Ranger Visitor Experience Shannon Carlin. “We like seeing the public enjoy the park and all the fall festivities at this event. We hope you can come out and make some lasting memories and keepsake crafts at our Halloweekend event.”
There are activities scheduled throughout each day of the event for everyone to enjoy. On-going stations include: Mini Golf, Face Painting, Corn Hole, Bean Bag Toss, Potato Sack Races, Ring Toss, and a Photo Op.

- Pumpkin Carving and Decorating
- Creepy Crawlies: Leaf Pack Exploration
- Hide and Seek - Halloween Rocks
Sunday activities include:
- Pumpkin Carving and Decorating
- Shark Tooth Necklace Class
- Beastly Bash Craft
- Fossil Excavation
The park is also hosting a Trunk or Treat on Halloween from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event features food fun and friendly competition as guests stroll through Campground C to see the Halloween costumes and trunks all decorated. There will be food trucks and additional activities during this event.
