Amenities

Day-use area

One large picnic shelter is located at the north access site (Lupton Rd). There is a group-size charcoal grill and a 16' picnic table in the shelter. The shelter is occupied on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Fishing and Boating

The 'seven bends' section of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River offers unique geology and scenery perfect for fishing and providing pleasant scenery for float trips. The river is relatively small and shallow, making it accessible to wade angling. Both Seven Bends State Park access sites have car-top boat launches for kayaks and canoes.

Hiking and biking

There are eight miles of hiking/biking trails. There are just over two miles of trail along the 'seven bends' of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River. The remaining trails are located on the western slope of Powell Mountain, part of the Massanutten Mountain Range. The Talus trail links visitors to the Massanutten Trail in the George Washington-Jefferson National Forest.
