Don't miss the solar eclipse on April 8!  You won't be able to view another solar eclipse from the contiguous United States until 2044, so take advantage of this year's solar eclipse watch party at Cullers Overlook.

Wildflowers, especially bluebells, abound and delight.  We meet at the visitor center to review tips for photographing flowers.  After meeting at the visitor center, we will explore the boardwalk trail near the Right Campground.  The hike will be 1.5- 2 miles long on easy terrain.

June 1st is National Clean the Bay Day!

Explore Redtail Ridge under the moonlight.  At 9 pm, we will be hosting a night hike on Redtail Ridge Trail to celebrate National Trails Day! This trail features a walk through the forest and a few great overlooks along the ridge.

What is a gundalow?  A gundalow was a long wooden flatboat that was used to haul merchandise down the Shenandoah River.

Who wants to be a junior ranger?  Join us for our junior ranger camp for ages 10-14 from Monday, June 17 - Thursday, June 20.

We will start with a campfire and, of course, making S’mores.

July is a perfect time to get out on the river.  We will take a limited number of kayaks for photographing the river.  For those who do not want to venture out on the river with camera equipment, you will be able to photograph from the riverbank.  All types of cameras from smartphones to professional cameras and levels of photographers are welcomed.

Rev3Endurance is hosting the Shenandoah River Adventure Race, which is an official Virginia State Park Adventure Series race.

Rev3Endurance is pleased to bring back the Shenandoah River Aquablaze. This is a fun race that combines running and watercraft as part of your race route (kayaking for soloist/canoeing for 2-person teams).

Did you know that one out of every three bites of our food, including fruits, vegetables, chocolate, coffee, nuts, and spices, is created with the help of pollinators?  Join us as we review tips for capturing great photographs of our summer pollinators including butterflies, bees, dragonflies, and more.  We will begin with a review of when, where, and how to photograph these flying wonders.  Following the review, we will head to the field to practice these techniques.  All types of cameras from smartphones to professional cameras and levels of photographers are welcomed.
