Dragonfly Symposium
Attend the third annual Dragonfly Symposium to celebrate odonates! There will be a special guest talk by Steve Roble, senior zoologist with the Natural Heritage Program from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Enjoy fascinating talks followed by great field trips, beginner ID walkthroughs, time to explore the Odonata in different habitats in Nelson county, and social time with other enthusiasts and professionals over lunch. Come for the whole day or pick what suits you!

Amenities: The visitor's center has a lounge area, a restroom, and a water fountain.
Clothing: Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy and comfortable shoes. Waterproof boots or waders are recommended for some visits.
Supplies: Bring water, lunch, sunscreen, and bug spray.
Participants should be able to:
- Understand and follow directions to avoid/manage risks.
- Tolerate the elements including temperature for the duration.
- Traverse unpaved and uneven trails.
