Do you feel safer walking with a friend? Want to meet other women who have common interests? Ready to meet your goals and get in a healthy exercise session? Join our Women's Walking Group as we trek the New River Trail! Meet a ranger for a moderately paced, brisk, morning walk in Fries. We will begin at 9 a.m. and meet at the New River Trail Fries access parking lot. The hike will last one hour and cover nearly four miles. Be sure to wear closed toed shoes and bring water to drink. Let’s create a safe space for each other and encourage one another in our goals!
The trail surface is crushed stone and a gentle grade. Leashed pets are welcome. This program is weather dependent. Please check our event listing on the New River Trail website for cancellations.
