Meet a ranger for a leisurely paced afternoon walk at the Dannelly Park access to New River Trail. We will begin at 2 p.m. and meet at the bridge. Participants will have the opportunity to identify unique flora and fauna as well as learn about our unique park history. The hike will last approximately one hour and cover about 1-2 miles.
Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes and bring water to drink. Leashed pets are welcome. The trail surface is crushed stone and a gentle grade. This program is weather dependent. Please check our event listing on the New River Trail website for cancellations.
