This training will inform and educate community representatives involved in the administration and enforcement of local land use and permitting processes aimed at flood risk reduction and National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) compliance, highlighting specific topics critical to effective NFIP implementation. Zoning officials, elected leaders, engineers, solicitors, and anyone with an interest in learning more about how to practically apply flood maps and requirements in his/her community, as well as understand the insurance implications of development decisions, should attend.
