NOTE: North Carolina is an ASFPM accredited Chapter that administers their own Certified Floodplain Manager program. If your home address is not in the state of North Carolina, you must apply for the CFM Exam through ASFPM, so they can provide a national exam for you to take.

The CFM exam will be proctored on Friday immediately following the deployment of the L-273 course. The CFM Exam requires separate registration – Registering for the L-273 Course does NOT include Exam Registration. You may register for the exam only – course registration is not required in this case.
The exam will start promptly at 8:30 am on Friday and three hours will be allotted for the exam. Those taking the CFM exam must pre-register. Pre-approval is mandatory. Those approved to take the exam will be notified prior to the exam date. Walk-ins will not be permitted; all exam takers must be on the approved list, having submitted the appropriate application and fees in advance.
