Description:
FEMA Region III and DCR are undertaking a project to develop simplified substantial damage administrative materials. The goal of this project is to develop a “tool-kit” that assists the City of Danville in evaluating their capacity to carry out the substantial damage requirements as well as identifying resources to fill any capacity gaps. The project includes support for the City’s development of substantial damage administrative procedures to document what resources and steps the City will implement after a disaster.
This webinar will be held at 10:00am on Monday, August 19. It is the first step in the substantial damage administrative procedure development process. It will be a one-hour webinar to discuss the goals, process, and timeline for this project.
The second step of this process will be a workshop in Danville on Wednesday, August 28 from 9:00am - 1:00pm. Visit DCR's Training Calendar to learn more about the workshop and to register for it.
This webinar and the subsequent workshop are being made available to the City of Danville as a result of the disaster declaration it received from Hurricane Florence.
Target Audience:
This webinar is intended only for those involved in substantial damage determinations for the City of Danville (not surrounding localities, unless they have a mutual aid agreement to provide substantial damage determination support). This may include the floodplain administrator, emergency manager, building official, city planner, GIS manager, elected officials, and others.
Additional Information:
Please register for the webinar using the link above. Try to participate in both the webinar and the subsequent workshop on August 28.
A link to the webinar and a call-in number will be provided to those who have registered.
