Living with Water: The Future of Flood Insurance in Virginia is a day-long symposium hosted by FEMA Region III, Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, and the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. This event will be on Monday, December 9th from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Vinton War Memorial located at 841 E Washington Avenue, Vinton, VA 24179.
Living with Water will engage stakeholders from various agencies and industries in a guided conversation about working together to increase flood insurance coverage in Virginia. The event will include a roundtable discussion between representatives from federal, state and local government, banking, real estate and the insurance industries. The morning panel discussions will be followed by afternoon small-group breakout sessions and a report out.
Geared towards industry professionals, this day-long event will be followed with an evening public Open House from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Click here for more information on the Open House.
