Webinar Topic: Coastal Letter of Map Revisions - MT-2s
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has a process for revising Flood Insurance Rate Maps. A Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) is FEMA's official modification to an effective Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM). Coastal LOMRs can result in a change to the effective Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) or the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA). This webinar will provide information on the LOMR review process with a specific focus on Coastal LOMRs. Information will also be provided on submittal requirements associated with the Great Lakes - the freshwater coast.

This wbeinar is part of the Cooperating Technical Partners Information Exchange.
The Cooperating Technical Partners program is an innovative approach to creating partnerships between FEMA and participating NFIP communities, regional agencies, state agencies, tribes and universities that have the interest and capability to become active participants in the FEMA flood hazard mapping program. ASFPM established a subcommittee of its Mapping and Engineering Standards Committee to support the CTP program. This subcommittee is co-chaired by Brooke Seymour, P.E., CFM (Mile High Flood District) and Maria Lamm, CFM (South Carolina Department of Natural Resources). The goals are to help identify mechanisms to measure successes and share best practices among mapping partners. This webinar is intended to help meet these goals.
