This National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Advanced Floodplain Management Concepts training course is a virtual and interactive instruction that covers the following five topics in more details than the basic course:
• Common Noncompliance Issues
• Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRMs)
• Higher Standards in Floodplain Management
• Disconnects between the NFIP regulations and insurance
• Placement of Manufactured Homes and Recreational Vehicles in the Floodplain
• Wednesday June 2nd, 2021: Higher Standards in Floodplain Management •
Target Audience:
Local officials responsible for administering their local floodplain management ordinance will be given priority, but others are welcome to participate including zoning officials, elected leaders, surveyors, engineers, and solicitors.

Registration: Free Course
Each session has its own registration – can register for all 4 session (priority) or just 1, 2 or 3 sessions. Only register for the session you can attend since SPACE IS LIMITED. CECs will only be provided for the session(s) you attend.
Registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis…so register early.
