Join a park ranger on a three-mile hike to the waterfall and back. While hiking along Little Mountain Falls, keep an eye out for some of our many woodland friends. The hike crosses streams, so it is recommended that you wear proper footwear you don’t mind getting wet.
About National Trails Day
On the first Saturday of June, Virginia State Parks celebrates National Trails Day®, an annual event sponsored by the American Hiking Society encouraging outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to explore hiking, biking and equestrian trails. Virginia’s 44 state parks offer guided hikes, trail maintenance workshops and volunteer opportunities to highlight trail stewardship and the importance of preserving trails for future generations.
