Training Series Overview:
In coordination with state partners, FEMA Region 3 is hosting a virtual Advanced Floodplain Management course. The topics have been selected to enhance the knowledge of local officials responsible for administering floodplain management ordinances, including zoning officials, officials, surveyors, engineers, and other individuals that may be actively working in the floodplain.
Each virtual session will take place on Tuesday mornings in March 2024. Students are encouraged to attend all four (4) sessions as the information will be useful for enhancing local NFIP initiatives.
The series will not provide credit from the Emergency Management Institute (EMI); however, it will provide Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) Certifications.
